make a wish

i've come to accept the fact that i still believe in dandelion wishes. and that when we teach her how to blow the petals away, we're really teaching her that the very moment before she exhales holds the answer to any question she might have.
the key is defining what you're wishing for.

  4. I love your posts so much. They're like my daily chocolate, did you know that? When I see you've written a new post I get all excited because I know it's going to make my day ten times better or make me deeply and fully aware of something important in my heart.

    This post did both.

  7. You know, I find that there's a stunning amount of wisdom in this one short post. I love it!

We wish on dandilions and stars and new moons. Lately, my daughter has been inventing things to wish on. I love that about her.

  8. I still believe too. In fact somewhere along the line I decided on a very strict rule in regards to dandelion wishes. I decided that in order for them to work, you had to make sure you blew the little seeds in such a way to guarantee they landed in a place where they could grow. They couldn't be blown on the sidewalk or in the street. If they didn't land in a place they could grown, the wish wouldn't work.

  9. Awesome wisdom, my Kritter. Again, I'm amazed that I'm your Mom - must have been some great karma that day you were conceived. My heart overflows with love for you and gratitude that you love me back. We will show Finn that this is what a loving family looks like and then she can brag to her friends at preschool. :)
